What Is So Great About Renewable Energy?

Sources of energy are crucial for life on Earth to continue as usual. Most actions think that human beings do require energy to be consumed. However where this energy comes from is very important. Some of this energy can be renewed, whereas some energy cannot. Due to this renewable energy is seen as a beneficial type of energy. But what is so great about renewable energy?

Anyone who is looking to make savings on their fuel bills should think about renewable energy. Using sources such as wind power in order to generate electricity can be very cost-effective. As soon as the initial outlay has been made to harness wind power electricity bills become a thing of the past.

All the natural resources of the world will be preserved by using renewable energy. This is of importance to anyone who is concerned about such issues as they can affect them.

People are concerned about maintaining clean air for future generations need to consider renewable energy. As many other forms of generating energy creates harmful gases which go into the atmosphere they are not seen as safe. Everyone enjoys breathing fresh air and by sticking to renewable energy the air will remain clean.

Renewable energy does not create any substances which are harmful. Burning fossil fuels on the other hand creates carbon dioxide which is harmful for the environment. Nuclear power also has its harmful by products and many people are not happy with this method of generating energy. This is one of the reasons why so many people do not want to opt for nuclear fuel. Instead they look for alternative methods of generating energy which they can use.

By utilizing the natural occurring forces which are all around us we can easily create renewable energy. For instance, anyone looking to use the sun can easily have solar panels fitted to their house. Farmers also use wind power on their farms. Both methods are preferable to using non-renewable fossil fuels which will eventually run out.

Another reason to care about renewable energy is that it helps to slow down global warming. By using up fuel which creates carbon emissions and climate of the planet is changing, and not for the better. This results in plants and animals dying out in certain areas and people are starting to feel the effects too.

When compared to nuclear energy renewable energy is seen as a much safer alternative. After the disaster at Chernobyl in which thousands of people were affected nuclear energy is not looked at in a pleasant light. The majority of people would rather not live near a nuclear power plant as they are worried about problems. By only using renewable sources of energy any concerns that people have will be eliminated. There is no risk to anyone when using renewable energy.

The reasons above are just a few of the reasons why everyone should be concerned about renewable energy. It is much safer to use nuclear energy. It does not deplete the natural resources of the world and it does not contribute to global warming. Now you know the reasons, maybe you will think about switching to renewable energy.

Wind Energy Is Clean And Renewable

Wind energy is clean and renewable and provides a green complement to the world’s reserves of coal, as well as oil and natural gas. Much of the world’s wind has yet to be tapped and represents a great investment opportunity. Wind energy is a source of clean, non-polluting electricity. A single, well placed 750 kW wind turbine can prevent the emission of 5000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. It is a clean, cost-effective option from an abundant, domestic resource. Like all electricity sources, wind energy has some impacts, but adding more wind to our traditional fuel mix is important to striking a healthy energy balance.

Wind energy is popular as well, according to dozens of surveys conducted in the U.S. Wind energy creates 27 percent more jobs than advanced coal technology and twenty times more jobs than natural gas combined cycle. Wind energy is a free, renewable resource, so no matter how much is used today, there will still be the same supply in the future. Wind energy is essentially a permanent type of energy. The wind will exist until the time the sun extinguishes, which is roughly another four billion years.

Wind energy is a clean source of electricity produced when specially designed wind turbines capture the wind to generate electricity. Like historical windmills, modern wind turbines generate power from the wind. Wind energy is pure, endless and a homegrown resource. Using clean, locally produced electricity makes a difference not only environmentally, but also by boosting the local economy as well. It is very abundant in many parts of the United States. Wind resources are characterized by wind power density classes, ranging from class 1 (the lowest) to class 7 (the highest).

In conclusion, wind energy is a pollution free, infinitely sustainable form of energy. It doesn’t use fuel; it doesn’t produce greenhouse gas, and it doesn’t produce toxic or radioactive waste. Wind energy is growing fast. It has been the world’s fastest growing renewable energy source for more than a decade with an average annual growth rate of over 20%. It is an economical power resource in many areas of the country. Wind is also a clean fuel; wind farms produce no air or water pollution because no fuel is burned. Wind energy is a viable option for any energy strategy. Although it is a recent addition to the energy mix in most areas, regulation of wind energy is evolving rapidly.

Arnold Schwarzenegger calls for adoption of green energy as he calls climate change the ‘issue of our time’

Speaking Sunday to a small group at the Munich security conference, where he introduced a new policy paper ‘The Future of Energy,’ Schwarzenegger said his experience in California was that the adoption of green energy creates jobs and leads to energy independence.
He applauded formal efforts to come to new agreements to reduce carbon emissions and fight global warming, but says there is no need for governments to wait for summits.

Schwarzenegger says the issue shouldn’t be politicized and people should work together for solutions.
He says ‘we all breathe the same air.’

The remarks came just day after Schwarzenegger praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his endeavours in working towards issues concerning the environment.
After a grinding shooting schedule for the fifth installment of Terminator titled Terminator: Genisys, the governator – as he is fondly known – headed straight to India for the 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit.
Speaking at the event, Arnold, 67, vowed to ‘terminate climate change’ from the planet while confirming that he is ‘an action hero in movies while (TERI director-general Dr R.K.) Pachauri is the hero of the Green world.’

The summit meet was attended by Pachauri and France’s incumbent foreign minister and former prime minister Laurent Fabius, among others.

Wearing a charming smile, Arnold was all praise for the Indian prime minister.
‘I have admired him and watched him very carefully since he was the chief minister of Gujarat, which I hear is the California of India. He was the one who started the solar revolution in India, and came up with the idea of covering canals with solar panels,’ Schwarzenegger said.
‘He is a great hope,’ said Arnie – his another nickname – applauding the celebrated and ‘brilliant idea’ of the Gujarat model.
‘Now the central government here wants to cover over 1,000 miles of canals to generate thousands of MW of clean energy,’ he added.
Stating that he hopes Modi will continue to work for the benefit of the environment, Arnold said: ‘I hope he also comes with us for the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP in Paris for negotiations in November.’
Pointing at environmental challenges faced by India, Arnold said: ‘It is easy for the outside world to make statements. Indians are dealing with indoor pollution and harmful effects of kerosene. International contribution is needed to work together with India.’
A big supporter of renewable energy, Arnold batted for creating self-sufficient energy resources through solar and wind energy.
‘About 40 million tonnes of additional harmful greenhouse gases are emitted every year. Around the world, about seven million people die due to pollution- related illnesses. One million of them are from India,’ the former governor of California said.
There is a close connection between environment and economy, he said.
‘The economy of California grew 3.6 per cent last year because people supported effective use of fuel. Environmental commitments helped create more jobs and stimulated the economy,’ Arnold said.
