If you want to meet this electricity demand you would have to install a turbine of 5 kW to 15 kW in an area that receives good wind speeds.

Evaluate if your lifestyle to constant use of energy or in an irregular manner. There are people who spend most of their time at home and then there are others who are away 5 days a week. So, if you don’t regularly need Wind Power, you can do with installing a small-sized turbine. However, if you have kids in your home and you have constant electricity demand then you would have to spend more and install a little larger unit.
4. Off-grid Home
If you have an off-grid setting then you would require a Wind Power turbine that has a minimum rotor diameter of 20 feet. And, an average home wouldn’t have enough space to accommodate such a large turbine.
5. Reduction in Power Demand
If you want to live off the grid, then installing wind systems would also mean that you have to significantly reduce your power demand. Due to limitation of space you can also supplement the wind system with a solar PV system.
